From licence to launch.
Payments and Fintech, built by someone who's done it.
My Approach
Most consultants hand you a strategy and leave. I embed as an operator and own the outcome — because I've sat in the founder and COO seat, carried the P&L and shipped the product, not just advised on it.
Everything runs through four phases. The name S-QUAD is the method: Scope, Shape, Solve, Scale. Each one is a real gate, not a slogan — a question that has to be answered before the next begins.
SCOPE — Is this real, and is it viable?
Before a line of code: the market, the unit economics, the regulatory perimeter, and the licensing path. Most payments ideas should stop here, for good reasons. I find out fast and cheap — before the runway's gone.
SOLVE — Build it, ship it, govern it.
0-to-1 delivery: product, onboarding and KYC, card programme launch, integrations and the second-line-of-defence governance that keeps you live. The unglamorous operational work that decides whether you survive your first real incident.
SHAPE — The product and the rails
The narrow first wedge, the partner and rail strategy: who holds the licence? who holds the funds? who's merchant-of-record? — and a compliance model that survives a scheme audit. Design that respects how payments actually work.
SCALE — Compliant, economic growth.
Cohort economics, take-rate, new products and geographies and controls that scale with you. Growth that the regulator, the scheme and the P&L all survive — not just a bigger top line.
Two decades building payments and fintech for names you'll know.
From live card programmes and mobile money to wallets and loyalty — built, launched and scaled, not just advised on.
